Calling all Middle School Gifted & Talented students for some fun, collaboration, and friendly competition.  Team up with other middle schoolers to find clues, solve puzzles, and be the first team to break in to the final level in this escape room-inspired challenge.

WHO:  Open to students in Grades 6-8.  At least one student on the team should be an Adams 12 district GT student.

WHEN: The first clue will be sent via email on Friday, May 1 at 3:00 PM, but teams can work at their own pace.

WHERE: Virtual!

COST: Free!

About the Event

Registered team members will receive an email with the first clue at the designated time.  Teams will work together to solve puzzles and follow the clues in order to login to a series of Adams 12 GT Parents Group web pages and/or other documents. The first team to break in to the final level wins!

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer prizes this year, but we will post a leader board of team names for those who are interested.  One benefit to the virtual format is that there is no time limit, no designated hours, and no maximum number of students who can participate!

Creating a Team

This event is intended to be an activity where students can connect virtually with other students to solve the puzzles in a team.  Students can use phone, text, video conference, or any means they would like to coordinate and collaborate with each other.

There is no maximum number of teams for this event.  Teams should have 3-5 team members which should include all students in grades 6-8.  At least 1 student on the team should be a GT student at an Adams 12 school.  Other team members don't have to be identified as GT, and they don't have to be from your school or in the Adams 12 school district.  Teammates can even be friends or relatives from another state or another country!  Unlike most other GT Parents Group events, you are able to pick all of the members of your team. But, we trust you will follow the rules we have outlined above and just work with your teammates to complete the challenges.

We understand that some students may rather use this opportunity to meet new friends, so if you don't want to create your own team, we will team students up with others who have signed up without teams.

To register, please complete the form below.  A separate form should be completed for each student participating.  There is no cost to the event, but we are asking students to sign up so that we know who is playing and can send communications as needed, including the first clue!   The form asks you to include a list of all other team members or to let us know if you want to be assigned to a team.
